Aspen's priority is customer satisfaction founded on
solid relationships with clients and regulators and
obtaining quality and defensible results.
Stack Emissions
Aspen Consulting & Testing emissions testing services include, but are not limited to:
-
Particulate Matter (PM), PM10, PM2.5
-
Greenhouse Gases: Carbon Dioxide, Methane, N2O
-
Toxic and Hazardous Air Pollutants (HAPS)
-
Dioxin/Furans
-
Metals
-
Hydrogen Chloride (HCl)
-
Formaldehyde
-
Specific VOC
-
-
Gaseous Pollutants: Sulfur Oxides (SOx), Nitrogen Oxides (NOx), Carbon Monoxide (CO), Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs)
Ambient Air
Aspen has built and operated several ambient air monitoring stations including:
-
High volume and low volume samplers
-
Environmental Beta Attention Monitors (ebam)
-
Continuous gaseous monitors
Aspen has the expertise to help with all phases of your ambient monitoring from writing the Quality Assurance Plan, to constructing the ambient station and finally, operating it.
Natural Gas
Natural gas sampling is performed at the well head and includes on-site hydrogen sulfide analysis. The gas sample is analyzed for C1-C10 and BTEX, usually within days of sampling. Btu content, GPM, compressibility and specific gravity are determined using the GPA 2172-09 method.
Oil Sampling
Oil sampling is performed using the water displacement method GPA 2174. Floating piston method is also an option but is cumbersome and expensive. Oil samples are analyzed at the laboratory of your choice or Aspen is happy to recommend one.
Our expertise and resources allow for consultation beyond this list. Let's Talk.

Indoor Air Quality
Indoor air quality can be degraded from many sources, such as:
-
Mold
-
Household chemicals
-
Glues
-
Paints
-
Smoking
-
Drug use
Aspen has the ability to test for formaldehyde, mold, VOC’s, CO and methamphetamine to name a few.
FTIR Spectrometer
Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy is the process where specific compounds are determined by the absorbance of infrared radiation. Applications include:
-
Diesel
-
Locomotive
-
Catalyst exhaust monitoring
-
Stack monitoring (environmental compliance)
-
Continuous emissions monitoring (CEM)
-
Process monitoring
-
Development and optimization
-
Ambient Air analysis (industrial hygiene)
-
SCR – selective catalytic reduction
-
Performance monitoring
